Our Story
How jili778 Came to Be — and What Keeps Us Going
jili778 was founded by a team that grew up watching basketball at the barangay level, betting on PBA games with friends, and spending late nights at the local mahjong table. We didn't come from Silicon Valley boardrooms — we came from the same neighborhoods our players live in.
When we started jili778, the online gaming space in the Philippines was full of platforms that felt foreign — built for players in other countries, with payment methods Filipinos don't use, customer service that couldn't speak the language, and withdrawal processes that took days. We saw the gap and decided to build something specifically for the people here.
The name jili778 carries meaning. "Jili" reflects the partnership-first philosophy at the core of the platform — the idea that the house and the player should both benefit from the relationship, not just one side of it. The "778" is a nod to the layered luck in Filipino numerology, a number combination that resonates across generations of players from Batanes to Tawi-Tawi.
We launched with a simple sportsbook and a modest casino library. Over time, listening to our players drove every upgrade — faster GCash cashouts, a PBA betting section that covers every game in every conference, JILI slots because our members kept requesting them specifically, live casino tables that stream smoothly even on mid-range Android phones, and a VIP program that actually rewards loyalty instead of just naming tiers after precious metals.
Today, jili778 serves over 850,000 registered Filipino players and processes millions of pesos in bets and payouts every single day. But the mindset has stayed the same as day one: build it for the Filipino player, listen when they tell you something isn't working, and keep improving.
"The best version of jili778 isn't the one we launched — it's the one we're still building based on what our members need every day."— jili778 Founding Team
